SNS and dip powder are the same thing
SNS stands for Signature Nail Systems, a brand of dip powder. In Australia the brand name swallowed the category, so almost nobody asks for a dip powder manicure any more. Both words mean the same treatment and either is understood when you book.
The nail is coated in a bonding liquid, dipped into a fine coloured powder until the colour is solid, then sealed. There is no lamp. It sets chemically as the liquid and powder react rather than curing under a light, so there is no waiting with your hands under one.
What each row includes
Natural nails without tips, from $50, is an overlay. It reinforces what is already there and adds nothing to the end of the nail. Extensions with tips, from $65, put a tip on first and build the powder over it, and that is where any extra length comes from. Even then this is a system for sensible length rather than a long sculpted shape, which is what acrylic nails in Brighton are for.
A refill is from $60 and fills the regrowth. Two to three weeks is the usual rhythm, and the tell is a line at the cuticle rather than damage at the tip. A French finish is a $15 addition on the same booking, and one broken nail is a nail repair from $5.
Removal, and how to book
Dip powder removal is $25 and includes the nails cut back, shaped and finished with a strengthening polish. It is bonded to the nail plate, so lifting it dry lifts the top of the nail with it. If the set was put on somewhere else, say so when you book so the right time is set aside.
